Paula's journey as an artist began in her youth living in the splendor of the Rocky Mountains. Learning to absorb the majestic landscape and recreate its majesty on a small canvas was a special gift from her homeland. She has explored art while experiencing the world through extensive travels with her husband and five children. Living on the Marianas Island of Guam and traveling to the Orient gave Paula a great appreciation for line and color. Experiencing France, the heart of the art world, with her daughter was a treasured opportunity. Monet's Giverney, his work and oriental collections inspired Paula to transition from watercolor to the rich palette of oil. Traveling America from coast to coast, she took in the overall charisma of each region adding to the rich variety of her work. Living many years in beautiful, historical Charleston, South Carolina, where art is a cherished part of everyday life, Paula was inspired to get involved in the art community. This inspiration also brought on serious art study. Her work has been exhibited in the Gibb's Art Gallery and at the Spoleto Arts Festival. Paula was instrumental in establishing the Art Venue for Piccolo Spoleto.
